Sabian Cymbals
Sabian are from the same family as zildjian and use the same family recipe for their alloys. The firm was created when in 1981 two zildjian brothers disagreed about how to proceed and proceeded in two different directions.

Ride cymbal
Ride Cymbals
A ride cymbal is used differently to most of the other cymbals in the drum set in that it is tapped rhythmically to provide a pulse or pattern that becomes part of the music rather than being struck to provide emphasis or accent. Cymbals which provide both functions are known as crash rides
The cymbal may be struck on the major plane as standard; on thinner cymbals this can build vibration to generate a consistent tone called cymbal 'wash'.
The cymbal may also be struck on the 'bell' which gives a clear 'ping' sound of very short duration, as the name suggests.

Crash ride cymbal
Crash Ride Cymbals
These are cymbals that fulfil the dual role of both crash and ride cymbals.
They are usually smaller than traditional ride cymbal but heavier than a standard crash with an accentuated bell. They tend to be used as a secondary timbre to a primary ride cymbal adding extra sound textures and washes to the drummer's palette.

China cymbal
China Cymbal - Chinese Cymbal
- These are different to any other type of cymbal in that they have a folded back edge portion.
- This shape comes from traditional Chinese cymbals and deliver a particular 'trashy' type of sound.
- Chinese cymbals are used like crash cymbals but have a particular 'dark' flavour. Personally I love them!
- Sizes are similar to crash cymbals 10 - 20" diameter with the standards being in the range 14 - 18inch diameter

Hi hat cymbals
Hi Hat Cymbals
These are cymbals usually sold as a pair; they sit on top of the hi-hat stand and are brought together or separated using a foot pedal.
Hi Hat cymbals are either a pait matched to be similar sounding or they have a heavier bottom cymbal and a lighter top cymbal.
Sizes range from 15" to 10" with the standard being 13" and 14".

Small thin cymbals with a quick attack and fast decay. Sizes range from 6to12 inches with standard sizes being 8-10 inch diameter.

Gong
From I heard my first Gong, I've been in love with the range of beautiful simmering sounds.
From a huge swell of sound to the sustained tones and harmonies, the voices of angels. Opera gongs tend to have a pitch bend, wind gongs provide an awesome shimmering spound, Burmese gongs tend to have a strong fundamental tone, often tuned for use in a Gamelan.
A well-made gong will delight the ears and enhance your musical Offerings.
